West Santa Clara is an unincorporated, census county division (CCD) located on the eastern side of the Santa Cruz Mountains in northwest Santa Clara County, California.〔(US Census 2010 map for tract 5117, West Santa Clara CCD 93660 )〕 The area covers approximately , much of it open space,〔(Open Space Authority of Santa Clara County )〕 and contains Boronda Lake, Felt Lake, and Lake Ranch reservoirs, as well as Sanborn〔(Santa Clara County Parks: Sanborn )〕 and Stevens Creek〔(Santa Clara County Parks: Stevens Creek )〕 county parks. The Foothills,〔(Foothills Open Space Preserve )〕 Los Trancos,〔(Los Trancos Open Space Preserve )〕 Monte Bello,〔(Monte Bello Open Space Preserve )〕 Pearson-Arastradero,〔(City of Palo Alto: Pearson-Arastradero Preserve )〕 Picchetti Ranch,〔(Picchetti Ranch Open Space Preserve )〕 Rancho San Antonio〔(Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve )〕 and Saratoga Gap〔(Saratoga Gap Open Space Preserve )〕 preserves are also located in the area.
